About the Author

With a background in Graphic Information Design and an MA in Interaction Design from the Royal College of Art, Helen has been defining digital products and services since 1995. She brings a systemic human-centred approach to the strategy and development of innovative product and service experiences. Helen has successfully delivered projects for Philips, Nokia, Samsung, P&G, Net-a-Porter Group, Art Basel, Barclaycard, Boots, Hitachi and BT. She has a proven track record of design and development, team management, and research in both academia and industry.

Helen’s background is extensive and touches multiple sectors. Her role is vital in ensuring client needs are met. Prior to Method, she led design teams at Fjord, Fitch, and Leo Burnett. She has taught design at BA and MA level for UCL and Ravensbourne, and managed design research programs for IoT and fair trade tracking (EPSRC). Helen is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a member of the Council of the Internet of Things, and an advocate for Systemic Design and Sustainability.
