SuperCollider

The San Francisco Film Society, host of the San Francisco International Film Festival (see related stories for the 49th and 50th festivals), presents a variety of programs throughout the year to celebrate artistry, technology, and innovation in film.

In 2006, the Society launched a festival dubbed "SuperCollider," held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and dedicated to showcasing the best in animated films and shorts. SFFS asked Method to help develop a visual identity and event graphics for the new program. Our concepts for the mark played with the idea of multiple dimensions - 3D, rich stories, new and old, layers. The core mark shows movement and collision through the embedded line work, and also provides a foundation upon which to build sculptural abstracts.

Method

The SFMOMA has a reputation for presenting artwork and art-related themes in innovative, informative ways. In 2005, SFMOMA asked Method to create an interactive program to help museum-goers gain a richer understanding of the artwork.
